"Fear always tells you two things about time:
1. It’s too late.
2. Do it later.
The first destroys you with regret.
The second delays you with laziness.
They’re both lies.
Wage war against them.
Right now is the best time to get started because it’s the only time we’re guaranteed to have."

May 27
So Jon Acuff the author of Quitter and Stuff Christians Like has been challenging himself since the beginning of the year to finish specific goals for himself. Although its May I’ve decided to take part in this challenge :-/ Like Jon Acuff and many others I have the bad habit of starting things and not finishing them. And one of the things he said in his blog that really stuck out to me was “Starting a project doesn’t change the world. Finishing a project changes the world.”
This also makes me think about Jesus Christ’s last words on the cross”It is finished”Once He released His Spirit, the penalty for our sins had been paid for. Had he not finished what He came here to do, we all would be pretty much screwed! Praise God for being committed to His purpose and not being a procrastinator like myself!
But anywho….I hope this challege helps me become a person who finishes things, who hustles, and never gives up. Whoo! Man after writing that I reallzed it’s gonna take a lot out of me to own up to that but we’ll see how it goes. Just be praying for ya girl! But here is my Finish Year list…
1. Read Colossians everyday up until the Mission Trip in July.
2. Start exercising 3 times a week. Baby steps.
3. Work on Webisode.
4. Commit to running a 5k.
5. Read a non-fiction book each month and share on my blog.
6. Practice learning and speaking Spanish. Be fluent by 25!
That’s it! Man this is going to be hard! (for me anyway) Oh yeah if you haven’t already check out Jon Acuff’s blog @jonacuff.com it’s hilarious and full of wisdom…
